Welcome to the Roadside Reads Bookcast!
Be warned, there is foul language!
Ally and I finally get into the first 25% of And the Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich and boy, we have no idea what to make of any of it other than it’s creepy as FUCK. This is definitely a book to be read in October and the author truly knows what she’s doing, not just story wise, obviously, but visually as well. We talk about the sisters, the creeper man, Gown and his apples, and wonder at Nori’s Gollum mouth. Join us, won’t you?
Our next podcast will be October 19th where we read the next 25% of the book (up to Chapter 15 not including chapter 15, for those reading along with us). If you’d like to join us, or have some suggestions for questions/topics, let us know here!
We are, of course, accepting sponsors — both book sponsors for December’s book of the month (just use the feedback form and if the book is approved, you’re set!) or ad sponsors (email me directly lulu [at] roadsidereader.com).
As always, hope you’re enjoying these podcasts and would love to hear any thoughts you have to make it work better, or what you want to see more of!
