What a subpar start to Ready Set Saturday! I missed the first week due to dying with the flu, which I’m still getting over. That means it’s been a bust on goals this month so far. No gym still, missed a week of work, bailed on a concert, total fail. But, can’t be too hard on myself. I did manage to go outside a few times by taking my pupperoni Frodo Barkins out, and I managed to enjoy myself.
In case readers don’t know, one of the mental things I suffer from is agoraphobia, so being happy outside with my dog is a really great feeling! Frodo Barkins is my four month old pomeranian puppy that I purchased from a breeder specifically hoping he would help with my anxiety issues, especially my agoraphobia. At first, it was still really rough. Instead of worrying about myself when going outside, I was worried about Frodo. Will he escape? Will he accidentally get run over? What if someone steals him? But now that he is a bit bigger and fits better in his harness, walks are a joy! I can’t wait for the weather to be warmer so we can go on longer walks and find a park to play around at.
My goal for the coming week is to start the gym again (going at least once during the week), go to work every day, and bring lunch to work daily. Plus, make a video post for the site!
